EQUINE BI SYNDROME
Arthralgia (Bi Syndrome) is characterized by obstruction. If the surface meridians of the horse are attacked by pathogenic Wind-Cold-Damp, ??z-Blood circulation will be poor. This will make the muscles, bones and joints painful (arthromyodynia); therefore, there will be limited weightbearing and flexion. In Western veterinary medicine, this corresponds to rheumatic fever and rheumatoid arthritis. This type of disease is very common in clinical practice, with an incidence rate of about 10-12% in horses. When treatment begins in the early stages of disease, the cure rate can reach 90%, and the majority of more advanced cases also respond well.
