Calculation Algorithms for Automobiles Acceleration Performance

Acceleration time, as an important dynamic performance index of an automobile, is classified as acceleration time of shift and acceleration time at a given gear to evaluate an automobiles acceleration performance. Compared with the traditional calculation method, this proposed algorithm calculates an automobiles speed of optimal-power shift by using linear interpolation;calculates the acceleration time using Gauss integral, and calculates the acceleration time to a given distance by combining conversion method and interpolation method. A numerical example is given and the actual test results indicate that this algorithm is fit for automobile design.
