The Mission Design Tool for Hybrid Orbit Satellite Constellation about Configuration Design and Management Strategy
In this paper, the platform of design, analysis and simulation for satellite constellation design and control tool (CDT) is developed, to deal with the design issues of the constellation life cycle, including hybrid orbit constellation configuration design, deployment strategy, station-keeping strategy, reconfiguration strategy, reinforcement strategy, and also the convenient manipulation and demonstration interface, which is a genetic tool for the different mission demand and restriction. The tool architecture, processing flow, and run flow are explained detailedly in illustration, with brief correlative literature summary and algorithms presentation. The demonstration experiment about navigation constellation composed of inclined geosynchronous (IGSO), geostationary (GEO), and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites is carried out and the simulation result satisfies the reliability requirements, which is important to primary mission design for Chinese global navigation satellite system, Beidou-2.
