An Efficient Multihop Routing Scheme in the Large Scale Battlefield Wireless Sensor Network
Energy efficiency has been known as the most significant problem in all facets of the wireless sensor network operations. For large scale WSN deployed in the battlefield it is necessary to consider energy depletion imbalance, extra overhead and delay brought by the increase of the hop number when designing energy-aware routing scheme. This paper presents a novel routing scheme (Cooperative Robust Routing) that can enhance the energy efficiency of the large scale WSN by combining two concepts of cooperative communication and multiple sinks. Our simulations show CRR outperforms DSDV in energy conservation due to local region path repair.
