Analysis of the Relationship between Opening Rate and Economic Growth-Based on Five Western Cities of Liaoning Province

Since reform and opening-up, there are significant effects on the economic construction and opening to the outside world in five cities in western Liaoning. However, theres still a great gap between the five cities in western Liaoning and other cities in liaoning on GDP and degree of opening up. The research method of panel data analysis is employed in the paper. This paper analyzes the relationship between degree of opening up and economic growth in five cities in western Liaoning. The research shows that export plays a driving role to the economic growth, on the contrary, the import and FD1 has no obvious positive effect to the economic growth.
