Simulation Research of Systematic Coordination of Sustainable Development in Resource-based Cities-A Case Study of Xuzhou
Because of exhaustibiiity and large-scale exploration of natural resources, some resource-based cities become mineral depleted and then city declined gradually. The development of these cities are not sustainable, their economy, society, resources and environment are not coordinated each other. In this paper, the author set up simulation model of system coordination of economy, society, resource and environment in resource-based cities according to the theme of citys sustainable development. Then, the effect of factors adjustment was discussed with Xuzhou city as an example including population policy, economy growth, mineral resources, ecological management. At last, some suggestions were proposed to promote the systematic coordination of Xuzhous sustainable development. We hope this research can be adopted for reference by governments when they establish macroeconomic policies.
