Construction and Application of Performance Evaluation Matrix for Knowledge Management
In this paper, in order to evaluate the of knowledge management for an organization comprehensively, we constructed a complete and systematic performance evaluation index matrix by considering both knowledge management and general management based on balanced scorecard. According to the two dimensions of knowledge management and balanced scorecard, 16 subclass index categories are generated in this matrix and we use a simpler method of KSF (Key Success Factors) to filter specific indexes for each category and confirm the weight for each index. For analysis and application, we define a new concept of index contribution rate to evaluate the performance of knowledge management from different aspects and dimensions basing on the evaluation result matrix. This research will provide suggestions for implementation of knowledge management strategy in an organization.
