Diffusion over a stochastic potential barrier with Langevin equation
Diffusion of a particle over a stochastically modulated potential barrier is investigated analytically and numerically. The first and second moments are derived. The numerical effects of modulation variance, correlation time and environment temperature on the over-passing probability for different cases of friction coefficient are given. It has been found that the probability is sensitive to the initial velocity. Some interesting results are given for underdamped case.
