Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Direction of Potash in Vientiane Basin of Laos
Be located at northeastern part of potash ore section of Thailand Hele plateau,the Vientiane basin potash of Laos is formed in Paleocene of Paleogene Period which is as one of the chief potash-mentallogentic periods of the world. With the better conditions of structure,matter source and palaeoclimate,the potash of Vientiane basin has a great amount of potash resources. The prospecting potash work in the area in rencent years had got some outstanding achievements including finding some proved large-scale potash deposits such as Tongmang,Nongdao and Nongfeng areas. We will conclude the past prospecting technical methods and experiences to reference the further work.
