Application of electrical prospecting methods in waste landfill
The content of this paper introduces the development of waste disposition in China. And there are three ways of waste disposition landfill, composting and incineration. The mainly problem of waste disposition landfill is the pollution caused by leachate from HDPE. Leachate causes changes of the electrical properties of groundwater and soil areas, which leads to the electrical properties difference(such as conductivity, electrochemical) between pollution area and without pollution area. The double electrode method uses the conductivity of leachate or groundwater and insulativity of HDPE to implement. All leachates contain all sorts of ions, and the more common are C1-, Na+, Fe3+, Fe2+, SO42-, C032-, HCO3-, etc. The larger Ion concentration, the stronger the conductivity of groundwater, the lower resistivity, we can choose corresponding resistivity method for water pollution monitoring according to different objects and condition of exploration, and many experiments have proved that high density resistivity method has achieved good results in landfill. And high density resistivity method gathers mass of data, and can calculate on imaging intuitive and strong and has gathering device rich and portable. It lists the present issue of electrical prospecting method in waste landfill in the end of the paper.
