Study on the characteristics of electromagnetic wave field in coal and gas outburst orientation
The characteristics of electromagnetic wave propagating in gas-bearing coal and rock mass provide the precursor information of coal and gas outburst, which may forecast the coal and gas outburst. The advancing of working face arouses the variation of coal and rock mass stress field in front of the working face, this kind of variation may necessarily lead to changes of electrical parameters in loaded coal and rock mass. According to the propagation law of electromagnetic wave affected by previous supporting press in coal and rock mass, the coal and gas outburst mechanical-geophysical model was established, combined with geological and physical mechanical parameters of specific coal and gas outburst working face, the corresponding electrical parameters of coal and rock mass caused by variation of stress were calculated. The characteristics of electromagnetic wave propagating in working face were numerically simulated, the position of tectonic coal was accurately inversed, thus verified the effectiveness of the electromagnetic wave tomography in forecasting the coal and gas outburst orientation.
