Research and application of explored by ground penetrating radar on the modern spectral technology

GPR detection technique has been widely applied to area of engineering testing and geological exploration. GPR achieve the purpose of detecting by transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves. It needs to be researched that how to extract the weak signal from the background of strong interference for ground penetrating radar technology, because the attenuation coefficient of electromagnetic wave is large and susceptible to outside interference in dissemination. The study knows that spectral characteristics of electromagnetic waves varied significantly when propagating in different media, so the concept and algorithm of modern spectral expectations are proposed. The modern spectral profile is constructed through the sliding short time window to obtain the spectral expectation at different depths. The results through the various instances of the application of modem spectral profiles show that the identification characteristic of weak signals is enhanced and provide a new effective way of the geological interpretation for GRP.
