The applied research of ground high-precision magnetic survey in intersection-type uranium exploration
Research area is located in the Xiazhuang uranium field, Guangdong Province. The intersection-type high grade uranium deposits were strictly controlled by tracks of intersection faults and lithology of diabase dykes. Over the decades radioactive data in this area is plentiful, but other non-radioactive methods data is nearly zero. The task of research is focused on finding the concealed diabase dykes underground, as uranium is a non-magnetic mineral, but diabase dykes has strong magnetization. The relationship between intersection-type uranium and magnetic data has rarely discussed at home and abroad, the future prospects should have been probed. This time the ground high-precision magnetic data shows that the amplitude of anomaly is between minus and plus dozens of nanotesla. The position of diabase is difficult to judge by planar contours of total-field anomaly, but it is well correspond to the negative value of the horizontal first derivative.
