The Uncertainty Comparison of Time Value Evaluation Models in Freight Transport
Transport time is a key factor in evaluating todays transportation service level. Study on time value in freight transport is a useful way to decrease the cost and improve services, especially in the situation of selecting the satisfied transport mode. For this purpose a lot of models have been developed based on different principles. The results calculated by using the models for a same actual case, however, may be so different that one hesitates in using them. This paper will compare five time value models and find differences and similarities of them. At end, where and how they can be used will be discussed.
