The campus as a public space in the role of the sustainable urbanization

摘要：

Two colleges are given as an example to analyze the problems of the closed campus space in this paper. The negative effects of the closed campus to the urban space is proposed. The relationship between the campus and the urban space is summed up. On the basis of these studies ,the important influence of campus space for sustainable urbanization has been demonstrated. Under the guidance of the sustainable development theory, the city and campus should promote common development. The co-development mode of the city and campus are studied from the point of urban design. The crucial content of the study is to optimize the space between city and campus.
