The Research on Durability of Fiber Reinforced Concrete
In civil engineering, the durability of concrete and concrete structure has been given more and more attentions. In order to upgrade the durability of concrete and concrete structure, the durability of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is studied in the paper. Due to the effect of fibers, the microstructure and the degree of density of FRC have been improved. It is shown in the research that the defects and cracks of FRC substantially reduced because of the excellent crack-resistance performance of FRC. The experiments about the durability index of FRC such as impermeability experiment and frost resistance experiment proved the durability of FRC is improved significantly; meanwhile the related research revealed the anti-carbonation and antialkali-aggregate reaction capability of FRC is also enhanced, so the application of FRC will improve the durability of concrete and concrete structure.
