Analysis on competitiveness of R&D Industry in China based on Diamond Model
Over the past few years, some scholars have conducted some preliminary research on R&D industry. Based on the existing achievements, the purpose of this article is to analysis the competitiveness of R&D industry in China based on Diamond Model. From our research, the advantages of R&D industry in china including four aspects: China can provide adequate but low cost R&D staff at present; Developed countries have produced a growing demand for R&D activities from developing countries; China plays an important role in the export of high-tech industries as related and supporting industries in the world; Trade protectionism all over the world become opportunity for development of R&D industry. The bottlenecks can be stated as follows: The R&D expenditure/GDP was below the average level in the world; The demand of high-level R&D from china is not enough; The high-tech industries engaged in china are lack of core technology; There did not form good interaction among the R&D subjects; The Chinese governments have poor protection of intellectual property rights.
