Study on Low Carbon Rural Construction in Wenchuan Quake-hit Area

Since the agriculture population are counted for over half of the world population, whether the rural area can find the way to development with low carbon cost has become the key issue for achieving a low carbon society. The reconstruction of quake-hit area is an advantageous opportunity for those areas to transfer into low carbon society. Therefore, exploring low carbon rural construction mode in quake-hit area and transforming its way of economic development are the effective method to accelerate sustainable development of quake-hit areas. The low carbon rural construction in quake-stricken area needs to achieve the balance of carbon cycle system within region, and solve the problems impeding in construction of low carbon country.
