Empirical Study on Share Ownership Controlling of Large Shareholders and Performance in Natural Person Holding Company
In this paper authors studied large shareholders role of equity checks and balances by SPSS13.0. The empirical study of this paper shows that shareholding proportion of the largest shareholder and return on equity are logarithmically related. And shareholding proportion of the largest shareholder and Tobin Q ratio have a non-monotonic thrice curves relationship. Both the shareholding proportion of top five shareholders and degree of equity checks and balances are not significantly correlated to corporate performance. So the role of equity checks and balances is invalid in natural person holding company.
