A New PID Tuning Algorithm Using APSO
The PID controller has been used widely for its advantages of simple algorithm and good robustness. But the PID parameters tuned by the classical Z-N algorithm are not optimal. Based on APSO, This paper presents a new algorithm to tune PID controller parameters, which has superior features, including easy implementation, stable convergence, and quick computational efficiency. The simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm is effective and the controller designed in term of this algorithm is superior to others.
