Research on Remote Sensing Lithologic Classification Method Based on PSO Algorithm

According to the problem that artificial factors can affect classification quality in the process of statistical lithologic classification, a PSO-based lithologic classification method is proposed in this paper. This method introduces spectral similarity scale to build classification rule. Under this rule, each particles dimension is corresponding to a sample state. Through updating the information of particle speed and position, particle is led to move toward an area with classification optimal spectral similarity value, and finally the optimal value is confirmed. Experimental result proves that the classification method is feasible.
