Mathematical Model for a Class of Traffic Design
In the paper, we establish the optimal models with regard to the traffic circle by considering the following factors: traffic flow, traffic capacity, vehicle delay time, vehicle speed, the size of the traffic circle and so on. Under certain conditions, we analysis the effect of traffic control from two aspects of non-signal control and signal control respectively, then we find a practical method which can be applied to any specific traffic circle. We put forward a statistical model concerning traffic capacity under the conditon of non-signal control, through which we conclude that the largest traffic capacity is 2000cpu/h. When the traffic capacity exceeds 2000 pcu/h, the stability of the traffic system will become worse, then we introduce traffic sign and traffic light in these cases, i.e., traffic signal control.
