Comparative Study of Domestic and Overseas Engineering Consulting Industry and Company

摘要：

The paper presents research on the comparison of engineering consulting industry and company in domestic and foreign countries. To explore the gap between them, and give advice for Chinese engineering consulting industry and company, a subject team surveys four foreign and four Shanghai engineering consulting companies, as well as does some case study. Comparisons are made in six aspects: standard contract, business area, service scope, project management (PM) model, PM organization, PM method. It shows that market regulation and standard contract are needed to develop in Chinese Engineering Consulting Industry, and business capability should be enhanced in enterprise itself. And finally, the paper gives several advices for both Chinese engineering consulting industry and company, especially the project management company.
