Research on Calcium Strontium Sulphoaluminate Cement with Strontium Slag as Raw Material
In the paper, the application of strontium-bearing slag for manufacturing sulphoaluminate cement has been studied. The best mineral composition of calcium strontium sulphoaluminate (CSS) cement clinker, sintering temperature and time were investigated by orthogonal test. The results show that the early and later stage compressive strength of sulphoaluminate cement can be improved by adding appropriate amount of strontium slag replaced for partial limestone and gypsum. Compressive strength of 3 d and 28 d are 67.75 MPa and 89.63 MPa respectively, and the firing condition and grinding conditions of the cement also was improved. SEM pictures show the grain boundary of clinker mineral is clear and the size of crystal is about 1 um. Through the analysis of XRD and DTA-TG, the hydrated product of calcium strontium sulphoaluminate cement is Sr-bearing AFt, CAHio, AH3 (gel), C-S-H and Ca(OH)2.
