Flexural Properties of Concrete Beams Reinforced with Rebars and Net-type Continuous Fiber Reinforcement
Reinforced concrete beam specimens with or without net-type continuous fiber reinforcement (NCFR) were fabricated for flexural tests involving the number of NCFR layers and concrete strength as parameters. Three layers of NCFR were found to efficiently control the flexural crack width by increasing the tensile force borne by NCFR and dispersing cracks. The authors also formulated a cross-section analysis program using a laminated model, with which the analysis values were compared with the measurements. This program was proven capable of usefully evaluating the flexural properties of concrete beams reinforced with both rebars and NCFR.
