Maximum Continuous Aperture of the Low W/C Concrete
Four kinds of the low W/C concrete were prepared using Portland cement, fly-ash, slag and limestone powder. The chloride ion diffusion coefficient was determinated by the electrical conductivity and the pore structure parameters were measured by the mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP). The maximum continuous apertures are determined by the correlation between the cumulatived pore volume of different pore size and the chloride ion diffusion coefficient. The results show that the cumulative pore volume and the chloride ion diffusion coefficient is well correlated when the pore size is 60nm-100nm, the correlation coefficient R2>0.80, and the maximum continuous aperture of the low W/C concrete is approximate 80nm.
