Pore Volume Fractal Dimension of Concrete and Its Relationship between Chloride Diffusivity and Strength
The pore structure and pore volume fractal dimension of concrete with different admixtures were determined by MIP (mercury intrusion porosimetry) on experiments. The relationship of pore volume fractal dimension with chloride diffusivity and strength was investigated. Results show that concrete chloride diffusivity is propotional to its pore volume fractal dimension; The order of the correlation between pore volume fractal dimension and coefficient of chloride diffusivity from high to low is fly ash, slag, lime stone and cement; The order of the correlation between pore volume fractal dimension and strength from high to low is fly ash, slag, cement, lime stone.
