Preparation and Properties of Alkali-activated Waste Concrete Cementitious Material
The technical route and preparation method of alkaliactivated waste concrete cementitious material (AWCCM) were proposed in this paper to realize the high-efficiently recycling and re-utilizing waste concrete. The recycling waste concrete powder (R) was preparated by separating, grinding and sieving the waste concrete. The compound binding, materials of R and metakaolinite (MK) was activated by modified water glass (soluble sodium silicate) to prepare the AWCCM. XRD, IR and compressive strength tests were used to study the composition, hydration behavior and mechanism of this cementitious material. Experimental results showed that, AWCCM possess high compressive strength, which is more than 50MPa when the mixing amount of R is 50%. The alkali-activated reaction products of AWCCM are mainly geopolymer, C-S-H and a spot of silicone gel.
