Effect of the Content of C3A on the Adaptability of Polycarboxylic Kinds of Superplasticizer with Cement
With the applying widely of high performance water reducer, the adaptability of high performance water reducer with cement becomes a problem to be solved urgently. The content of C3A is one of the most important factors on the adaptability of high performance water reducer with cement. In this paper, the method of high-temperature-sintering is used to make C3 A. The effect of C3A on the dispersity and rheological properties and adsorption of the system of polycarboxylic kinds of superplasticizer-cement is studied in depth. Moreover, it explains that the dispersity and rheological properties are related to the adsorption on cement particles. The results show that, when the content of C3A increases, the adsorption ratio of polycarboxylic kinds of superplasticizer on the face of cement increases first, then decreases, and the dispersity is enhanced first then weakened. When the content of C3A in the cement achieved 8%, the adsorption ratio of polycarboxylic kinds of superplasticizer on the face of cement is the greatest, at the same time the dispersity and rheological properties are the best.
