A Broadband Microstrip Dipole Antenna Loaded with Shorted Pin

摘要：

A broadband microstrip dipole antenna loaded with shorted pin is experimentally presented in the paper. The bandwidth of the antenna has increased from 70MHz (3.5％ bandwidth in 2GHz) to 190MHz (9.5％ bandwidth in 2GHz) by using a shorted pin. With a vertical gain of 2.7dB and front-back gain of more than 5 dB, this broadband microstrip dipole antenna has features desirable in array application and mobile communication.
