A 20 W W-Band Pulse Solid-State Transmitter Using Injection-Locked Compact Cascaded Power Combining Networks
The compact cascade W-band power combining network is analyzed firstly, then a high-power W-band injectionlocked pulse solid-state transmitter using three injection-locked compact cascaded power combining networks as the final stage is developed using frequency multiplier chain and injection locking. At last, optimized pulse peak output power of more than 20 W and locking range of 500 MHz at 94.2 GHz is achieved. The transmitter is operated at 88 ns pulse width and a PRF of 20 kHz. This transmitter development is directed at achieving a high-power output in compact structure that would useful for miniaturized millimeter-wave system applications.
