Improved scheme in 802.11 networks for application of fail-safety and real-time communication systems

Existing 802.11 networks can not be used in the industrial field because of the requirement of realtime communication, safety, and stability in the industrial communication. A method is studied to use a backup AP to replace the failure AP immediately, which adds a new redundancy AP. The redundancy AP can realtime switch its status when the AP stop working because of some predictable errors. The method contributes to the realization of reliable 802.11 networks with failsafety, which can be applied in the industrial communication widely.
