Performance and Optimization of Interference Coordination in Downlink TDDLTE Systems
The system characteristics of time division duplexlong term evolution (TDDLTE) system and different intercell interference coordination (ICIC) algorithms are analyzed. Dynamic TDDLTE system level simulator based on OPNET software is established to investigate the system performances with and without the interference coordination algorithms. Simulation results indicate that adopting the interference coordination algorithms can improve the performance of users in the edge of the cell significantly in the TDDLTE system. Some recommendations for the central cell radius and power configuration are given. Also, a novel ICIC scheme for VoIP traffic is proposed, and simulation results show its efficiency.
