DISCUSSION OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROBLEM OF ENGINEERING TRAINING CENTER
As an important part of our countrys higher education, engineering education practical teaching is a critical teaching link to cultivate the students ability of innovation and practice. By analyzing the current situation of national representative center of laboratory education (integration engineering training center) which is authorized by the Ministry of Education, we argue that the key to sustainable development of an engineering training center lies in its inherent functionality fulfillment. That is, an engineering training center, serving as a public platform for the entire schools engineering training and students extra-curriculum activities for scientific research, must go hand-in-hand with optimal infrastructure design, curriculum reform, faculty team building, and support of combined activities of research, teaching, and new curriculum development.
