Claro: A New Lemon Selection

The INTA EEA Concordia citrus breeding program is more than 50 years old and one objective is the selection of local varieties. Claro, a virtually seedless selection of lemon Citrus limon (L.)Burm. , was found in Santa Ana, Entre Rfos. Trees are medium in size and productive. Fruit has good internal and external quality. The selection is characterized by medium size fruit with high juice content. Fruit is harvested during the ordinary season and in summer time.
