Relationships among Mandarins (Citrus reticulata Blanco) of Hunan Province Investigated by SRAP Markers

Mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco) is one of the most important citrus genotypes in China. Molecular markers is a useful tool for detect genetic variation. Phylogenetic relationships among 25 mandarin accessions were investigated by using SRAP analysis. The results showed that the 25 accessions were divided into seven groups at the coefficient of 0. 78. The phylogenetic relationship among Daoxian wild mandarin, Indian wild orange, Mangshan sharp leaf wild mandarin and Miyamoto satsuma is far away. Meanwhile, 9 wild citrus accessions were grouped into five groups at the coefficient of 0.74. With the generated markers, it was possible to distinguish almost all the wild mandarins, even the Mangshan sharp leaf wild mandarin and Mangshan round leaf types were clearly discriminated.
