Study on Increasing Crude Protein of Fermented Feed from Citrus Peels
Yields of crude protein (CP) in citrus peels feed were obtained by citrus peels fermentation through an orthogonal experiment to get the optimum fermentation conditions. In this study, a batch of citrus peels was inoculated with Geotrichum candidum, Aspergillus usamii and Candida tropicalis. Using the content of CP as evaluating indicator, Single-factor experimental results showed that fermentation temperature, inoculation amount, inoculation ratio, fermentation time were the main four variables that influenced the yields of fermentation. Orthogonal experiment was carried out on the basis of the single-factor experiments. The highest yield was obtained when fermentation time, inoculation ratio, inoculation amount and fermentation temperature were 4d, 1∶1∶1, 20% , 28℃ , respectively.
