Research and Practice of Eco-Adaptability Management of the Three Gorges Project

摘要：

The Three Gorges Project (TGP) is essentially an eco-friendly hydropower project which is set to benefit mankind. This paper focuses on TGPs enormous benefits in flood control, power generation and navigation, and elaborates on the projects outstanding contribution in protecting the life and properties of downstream residents and in reducing greenhouse gas emission. It begins with a description of TGPs eco -friendly adaptability management system and then expounds the projects wrap - up phase and explores practices in performing ecological replenishment, protecting precious and rare downstream fishes and commercial fishes, and maintaining the satisfactory water quality of the reservoir area in its subsequent operation management phase.It also expatiates on some of the implications of TGP eco - operation.
