Simulation on Pressure-Relief Effects and Permeability Properties of Lower Protective Seam
Based on RFPA2D-Gasflow, similar material simulation and theory of simultaneous-extraction of coal and gas, the overburden fracture, the characteristics of crack distribution and the displacements change of pressure-relief coal seam after mining the lower protective coal seam are analyzed. Gas pressure reduces and permeability increases after coal seam pressure-relief were verified. The swelling rate of relative thickness of protected seam varies from 7.34‰ to 19.68 ‰. The protected seam is divided into compression deformation zone, pressurerelief swelling zone and pressure-relief swelling deformation stable zone. Protective angle of pressure-relief is about 50°. The overburden deformation hellas release the adsorptive gas, thus improve the pressure-relief gas drainage.
