Analysis of Pressure Transient for Fractured- Vuggy Reservoirs with Coupling of Pipe Flow and Seepage
For the existence of certain large size vugs and fractures in some reservoirs, such as Tahe oilfield, fluid is mainly stored in the vugs and fractures and vugs and fractures are the main flow channels. There exists not only seepage but also pipe-flow in the medium, due to the complexities of fractured-vuggy reservoirs. The flow mechanism and the flow theories of fractured-vuggy reservoirs are not yet mature;these factors cause great difficulties to the exploration and development of such reservoirs. This paper focuses on the coupling flow between pipe flow and seepage, the proposed idea is that the flows in vugs are pipe flow and seepage are in fractures. The coupling flow model is established, the new pressure derivative curves of the cavityfracture reservoirs are drawn, the analysis of the characteristics and influencing factors are presented. Since the model takes the coupling flow between pipe flow and seepage into consideration, it provides a new model and interpretation for vuggy and fractures reservoirs, and sets up a new foundation for these reservoirs.
