Oil Production Calculation for Triangular Patterns in Ultra-low Permeability Fault-block Reservoirs
Based on the pattern shape in fault-block reservoirs, and considering the nonlinear features of the fluids flow in ultra-low permeability reservoirs, the oil production calculation formula for triangular patterns in ultra-low permeability fault-block reservoirs was deduced by applying the streamtube integral method, on the basis of the new formula, the calculation formula for Effective Development Coefficient (EDC for short) was derived. In the application of the new theory, the influences of pressure difference and pattern geometry on oil production and EDC were analyzed. This research provides a new and effective method for pattern geometric parameters optimization, production calculation and reservoir development degree evaluation.
