Coupling Analytical Model for Horizontal Wellbore Temperature Profiles
Distributed temperature sensors (DTS) was used extensively in continuous monitoring of horizontal well production, and the data from DTS can be inferred the amount and types of fluid flowing to a wellbore. However, there is no corresponding model to interpret data from DTS. The conventional temperature model cannot reasonably interpret data for constant temperature along a horizontal well and small size of temperature change. Based on mass balance ,energy balance and the coupling between reservoir and wellbore flow, a horizontal wellbore inflow temperature steady-state model have been developed in this paper considering subtle thermal energy effect;heat convection, fluid expansion, viscous dissipation, and thermal conduction. Combining the characteristics parameter of a specific horizontal well, then a horizontal wellbore temperature profile have been plotted on the basis of the developed model and we have investigated how the amount, permeability, and types of fluid entering a well effect temperature profiles.
