Research on Crack Control Technology for Mass Concrete in 1# Nuclear-Island Basemat of a Nuclear Power Plant
At initial stage of pouring completion of mass concrete, due to the sudden temperature rise of concrete resulting from the cement hydration heat, the temperature difference inside and outside of concrete excesses its limit. In addition, moisture dissipation on surface layer of the concrete results in shrinkage deformation, and then generates hazardous penetrating crack. Therefore, the key to avoid the hazardous crack is how to alleviate and release the exterior restriction of concrete at the right moment. Taking a nuclear power station project as an example and focusing on construction and structure design, this study analyzes and summarizes a series of effective technical solutions. In addition, the paper concentrates on enhancing the concrete pouring quality, controlling the concrete temperature rise, delaying concrete cooling rate, reducing concrete shrinkage distortion, increasing tensile strength of concrete, improving constraint condition of concrete, and strengthening temperature monitoring. Meanwhile, many new procedures and amendatory construction methods are proposed, all of which achieve a lot engineering experiences and economic benefits.
