Analysis of the Bond Performance of Strengthened with NSM CFRP Rods in Concrete Based on ANSYS
Near-surface mounted CFRP rods in concrete can improve the bearing capacity of components. To study the bond between NSM CFRP rods and concrete, in this paper, ANSYS which is a finite element software is used to simulate NSM CFRP rods in concrete by means of direct pullout tests, through analysis of the bond failure mechanism, then obtain the bearing capacity and the local bond-slip relationship in different groove sizes. The calculated results are compared with available experimental results. The proposed model showed excellent agreement with the experimental results.
