Water Inflow Forecast of Carst Tunnel Based on Fluid-Solid Coupling Analysis

Water and mud burst take place commonly in karst zones, which can obviously affect the safety of deep long tunnel in mountainous areas. By investigation of geological background in research region, water burst mechanism is analyzed. Based on fluid-solid coupling theory and finite element method, impact on water inflow of karst tunnel by such factors as rock type, tectonics, water level in karst lowland and artificial guiding cave is studied. Research proves that when water level is elevated to the highest in underground river and karst lowland during flood period, water inflow will maximize at the second fault, hut it can catch less importance on tunnel safety. The validity and reality of this method is verified by construction reveal.
