Research on American Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 and Implications for Our Countrys Energy Laws
The Bush administration had introduced the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 in 2007 after the Energy Policy Act of 2005.To ensure American energy security, the act of 2007 tried to promote the development of clean energy and to reduce the dependence on imported oil by the way of improving vehicle fuel efficiency and developing bio-fuels. The act of 2007 had close connection with the Act of 2005, and both of them paid attention to energy demand management and energy supply diversification, stressed incentive policies and technology ensure and strengthen research and model. But the Act of 2007 paid more attention to ruling and regulating the energy demand to ensure energy security and independence, so it has affected American energy policies greatly. To ensure energy security and independence the act tried to promote clean energy and let the government take measures to incent renewable energy, which is worth to our learning.
