Simulation of the Fire Process in a Highway Tunnel under Vertical Ventilation
It is an urgent question needs to be solved that highway tunnel fire incidents often result in significant property damage and large number of casualties, and rescue work is very difficult. Selecting a tunnel controlled by the jet fans as the object of study in Changsha, and using computational fluid mechanics software PHEONICS, numerical simulations of a fire process in the highway tunnel is analyzed. The results of the study have important theoretical value and practical significance to understand the rules of the fire developing in highway tunnel, to avoid the occurrence of secondary fires, and to select the model of jet fans. Using body temperature limit of people highness as a safety guide line, the reasonable evacuation routes is designed and the proposal of rescue work during a fire is tabled.
