Exploration and Practice on 1+X Cognition Practice for Safety Engineering

The background of 1+X mode of cognition practice is summarized from the tempo of safety discipline, the characteristics, curriculum specialty, personnel training requirements and so on;the connotation of1 +X is expounded, and specific requirements on five-step procedures are put forward, including choosing practice bases, practice preparation, on-site visit, practice report and final assess;according to the performance of students, practice report and the questionnaire in the end, the practical effect is summed up. Through analyzing the main factors impacting practical effect, the problems found in practice are discussed and proposals and measures to improve are also put forward. The results show that, 1+X mode of cognition practice can effectively enhance the understanding of the major, expand studentshorizons, stimulate students thinking;it can also cultivate self-learning ability of students and the ability to observe, to practice, to study and analyze, moreover, the practice provide a chance of collaboration and mutual help. At the same time, the 1+X mode is still in the groping stage, progressive improvement and refinement are needful in order to provide students better learning and training opportunities.
