Professional class teachers play an important role in cultivating undergraduates in higher education, especially professional class teachers with dual qualification have an great effect on cultivating application-oriented talents of safety engineering undergraduates.According to characteristics of safety engineering in new period, the actual work of our institute and the goal of bringing up safety talents for our country,we explore and practice the system of professional class teachers with dual qualification during cultivating application-oriented talents of safety engineering undergraduates and achieve good results.The paper discusses the practices, shortcomings and future endeavors.
