Discuss the Development of Rail Transport in the Perspective of Low Carbon Transportation——Due to the Event of“Burlington Northern

In response to the global energy crisis and environmental crisis, the worlds proposed a concept of development which called “low-carbon economy. However, transportation is the bottleneck of the development of“low-carbon economy. As a transport way of green and clean, railway transport played a significant role in low-carbon economy that can not be ignored. Based on thinking of the development of low carbon transport, discussing Burlington Northern event, we conclude the role played by railway transport under the context of a low carbon economy for the development of world economic.
